Always has her laptop

By Bebe on September 1st, 2010

Vicki doesn’t leave the house without her laptop with her. She needs it to monitor her business while out meeting potential clients. She also loves going out of town surveying properties she can buy and sell so her laptop is also part of her must bring list.

I do believe it’s essential already. Owning a laptop, that is. You can work while on the road or anywhere for that matter as long as you have your files with you. And you can bring your files through your laptop where you can work on as well.

Back to cooking

By Bebe on September 1st, 2010

Precy got an enamel cookware last Christmas. It was the inspiration she needed to be able to start cooking once again. She stopped when she had an accident with a pot of boiling water. It made her scared of cooking so she stopped. Thank goodness she’s always being encouraged by her love ones and her husband so she picked up the cookware that she got and whipped up a simple dish that very same day.

It was just a start. She is now back to cooking delicious every day dishes as well as baking her famous chocolate chip cookies!

Floods in the city

Flood in the city

Flooding is very common in congested areas in the city. I love bungalow houses. But with the recent floods that devastated the country, I don’t think a bungalow house is advisable anymore. You need to have at least a second floor and a way to go up the roof of the house should another big flood devastates the country. You can never be too sure with nature.

A friend of my sister whom we chatted with told us his and his family’s experience during the flood that devastated most of the country last year. He told us that one more step and the flood would have reached the 3rd floor of their house. It was that high! I couldn’t imagine how we would have fared if that happened to the family. I am really very glad that we live in an elevated area in the city. Otherwise, we would have been one of the victims of that monster flood.

Mobile gadget

By Bebe on August 20th, 2010

Henry and Julia are getting insurance for ipads. They bought their ipads from the funds given to them by their respective departments. Both are field workers and since they need mobility when it comes to their gadgets, they are really given an allowance to buy a good gadget they can use when out on official business.

Ipads are the company’s choice. Since Henry and Julia are afraid of losing their ipads while on field work, they thought of getting an insurance for it. Good decision, I must say! At least they have something to fall back on should a bad thing happens to their ipads.

Dining Room

If you know me, you know I am a sucker for cozy home set-ups. I love anything that looks to be space savers to me. Like this dining room above. I know most people go for large space when it comes to their homes. I think living in the city has influenced me. I go for small space because for me that is more manageable.

Happy Monday!

Blog update

By Bebe on August 15th, 2010

I haven’t been updating this blog that much. I have a lot to write about but the past few weeks have been really busy for me. I needed to get so much done and updating was set aside. But I am here now and I will try to squeeze in as much updating as I can do.

And I will also try to find a new theme for this blog. I’ve been using the same theme for quite some time already and if you know me, you know I won’t settle for the same theme for the rest of my blog’s existence. I need to find something new.

I also would like to let you know that every Sunday morning, I will give you updates on my travels for the past week. Even a trip to the mall will merit space in this blog. That’s traveling already!

So that’s it for now. I will schedule some posts and see what else I can share with you my friends.

Happy Sunday!

Cleaning out closets

By Bebe on August 14th, 2010

I was talking to my sister about plus size lingerie the other day. We are both plus size shoppers. We both cleaned out our closets of old clothes and threw away really old undergarments. We are now both thinking of getting new ones. Of course, there’s the issue of funds but we’re budgeting our next paychecks so that should cover it.

At home, we try to clean out our closets every year. There’s no point in keeping clothes and other things that we can’t wear anymore. It will only add up to the amount of junk we have at home.

And since I love wearing lingerie at night, I will really buy a couple of it next week. I’ve given away the old ones I had.

Going around easily

By Bebe on August 14th, 2010

One of the things I love about living in the city is the easy way to go to any destination within it. Here in our country, you can easily ride a jeepney or a tricycle to go anywhere. There are also cabs you can hail anytime, anywhere. You can say that our country is conducive to a lot of traveling.

A week ago, I went to see my friends. We regularly see each other over dinner and coffee. Since there was a typhoon coming in the country that time and the downpour was already starting, people opted to hail cabs. It was so hard to get an empty one. What I did was I rode the jeepney to the restaurant where we’re to meet. It took me 10 minutes to get there! It was that fast!

Going around this country is really easy. All you have to think of is what’s the fastest and most convenient form of transportation available to you at this time.

Bent on getting one

By Bebe on August 6th, 2010

My older sister heard about Insinkerator and she’s now bent on getting one of their garbage disposals and hot water faucets. She can be quite focused on what she wants so you just know she’ll get it.

I am the opposite. I maybe focused on what I want as well but I easily lose the fascination. If it weren’t for my sisters’ nagging me about buying something I promised to buy for myself, I just might end up with a big fat bank account and nothing in my closet.

New pools

By Bebe on August 4th, 2010

My aunt just bought swimming pool supplies. The adjacent lot they bought for the specific purpose of using it as a place for their swimming pool was bought about three months ago. Then they got workers to build their swimming pool and now it’s done!

They had two pools built. One for the kids and one for the adults. The whole lot was occupied but a portion was used for the chaise lounges.

It looks really great when I saw it in the photo! We are invited to try it this weekend. Can’t wait!
