Very particular

When it comes to indoor lighting, our family, most especially my dad, is very particular. He does not like dim lights. But lights that are too bright are also stricken out from his list. He wants lights that are just the right brightness. Most of our lights at home were specially made for us. We ordered it from a well known lighting manufacturer. What my dad wants, if we can pull it off, he gets.

A new home

I was so angry at my friend’s ex-boyfriend. He left her for someone else. She is still hurting, even after a year. I saw her holding these baseball gloves that he gave her. Now, my friend is hurting so badly because they were already planning a wedding when he called off everything.

My cousin talked to me about something last night. Plus, he already told me what he wants as a Christmas gift. Dansko shoes and this Timex watch that he saw. Of all my cousins, he is the closest to me. That is why he is confident I will give him what he wants. Well, we made a deal. If he will show me high grades by November, I will give him what he wants.

Savings and investments

I am quite affected by the recent news surrounding the financial crisis in the US. I am always looking at online trading, checking on things. I am a person wishing to invest if I only have enough money to do so. I have some but not enough to cause alarm when the market index plummets. But still, it is my savings and I have a mind to pull it out now with all this things happening around.

Hardworking man

Dad is so busy with so many things. He is renovating the garage himself. I told him that we could just pay someone to do it but he wants to do it himself, saying that he has nothing to do in the morning anyway. He is also running an errand for his older brother. He is looking for a spray booth. And then, he is also into gardening in the afternoon. My dad is such a hardworking man. He cannot abide a day without working.

Horseback riding

Little Maddie loves english saddles so much. She loves to go on a horseback ride with her father and she could go on and on about it. I once visited them in the country and I was regaled with the stories about Maddie’s prowess with horseback riding.

When I was a little kid, I also fancy myself good with horses. But when I fell off my horse a few times, once breaking a bone, I think that did it. I am now content watching others ride.

The result was…

When my uncle was accused of impregnating a woman he barely knew, he immediately asked my other uncles and my dad to help him out. He was being pinned for something he didn’t do. DNA testing was the solution they came up with. They waited until the woman gave birth and they had the baby tested. The whole time the woman was pregnant, she maintained her claim that my uncle was the father. When the DNA result came out, my uncle was “acquitted” of the accusations. He was not the father. It turned out that the woman was pregnant by another man. Sigh.

For the store

You know, when my partner and I were still in the brainstorming stage of our internet shop, we were thinking of also putting up a shop in it. We wanted to apply for a license to operate a merchandise shop but then we canceled it. We realized it is better to focus on one business first. If things are going smoothly with the internet cafe, then we can expand. And we surely will, in time.

My partner has this collection of nfl merchandise that he displayed in a glass case in a corner of the internet cafe. The guys who come in really love my partner’s collection. I was amazed myself. I did not know that he’s an avid NFL fan. Not at all! Well, we will surely get to know one another more. I am an NFL fan myself but I do not collect merchandise. I have some at home and I believe I will display what I have in the cafe as well. It will be the quirk of our internet cafe. Who knows, eventually, we can even hold NFL games discussions. I would love that!

The Boston Movers to be exact. They will be helping my partner and me move our stuff to a new office. You see, I entered into a partnership with a long time co-worker of mine. We decided to put up an internet cafe near two universities. But the old shop cum office was in another street. It was not our original plan to put the shop there but we had to wait until the new office is renovated. We were busy promoting the internet cafe while waiting for the renovations to finish. We received good feedbacks and my partner and I are both excited to formally open the internet cafe. It’s a 50-50 profit sharing. We had an agreement drawn up. All the legalities were taken cared of already.

So finally, the renovations are over. The internet shop is waiting for the office equipment and other stuff to be moved there. And we asked the Boston Movers to help us out.
