We all got new chairs and desks in the office. The brand new office furniture were delivered a few days ago and it was part of the company’s way of saying thanks for all the hard work we put for the last two years. In all honesty, we are grateful for the little gesture from the top management. Little things count for people like me. And taking care of us, making sure we are comfortable while we are doing our work is a great way of saying thanks for me.

One of the problems of living along is that you get too lazy to cook for yourself. You always end up going to fast food chains for your meals. The end-result? Gaining so much weight and bad cholesterol! I must admit that I am one of these people who are too lazy to cook. I live with my family so I am lucky enough to eat home-cooked meals. Still, I am in dire need of phentermine already!
Fast-food meals plus no exercise equals a very unhealthy lifestyle. I am guilty!
I think I will do what our neighbors did last week. They bought rain barrels and set it up so that when rain falls, it will hold rainwater that can be used in their comfort room. This will be a big savings in the water consumption at home.
Anything that can save us even a bit of money off our bills will be welcome to me. I can spend quite a bit of money now as long as I know the benefits in the long run will outweigh that of the cost today.
I need to save up! I have been telling myself to scrimp on my monthly budget but I tend to splurge on food and books. Sigh. It’s a bad habit of mine to buy books even if the ones I bought before that are still unopened and unread. But that’s mostly the things I indulge in and nothing more.
Unfortunately, since I always indulge, I haven’t got a savings account. A proper one with unallocated funds, that is. I want a car but if you ask me, my funds can’t even buy Ferrari parts! Sigh. Time to step up and start saving!
Get an insurance quote as early as today to avoid the delay for next year. A couple of people I know are already asking their insurance agents to give them at least three new quotes as well as the quote from the rate to renew their current policies. They want to compare the rates and the benefits they can get out of the policies.
People are becoming wiser over their financial decisions these days. And I say, good for them! It pays to be vigilant when it comes to money matters.

The city’s trying to tell me that I need to go and explore the neighboring countryside. Again.
I haven’t been an outdoors-y person. I am more of the home-on-weekends type of person, with too much reading and watching tv on the side. But from time to time, I feel this overwhelming need to get away from the city. Like today. But since I can’t give in to the need today, I will do it this coming weekend. *keeping my fingers crossed
I am already thinking where best to go. To the beach or to the serene park…

Rushing to work daily can be exhausting. Especially when you have to ride the metro railway to work. It’s always jampacked and people rushing to work like you are sweating buckets.
Truth to tell, I hate rushing to work. Most times, you can’t help but do that like when you wake up late or you encountered a traffic jam along the way. If there’s only a way for me to stop rushing to work, I would’ve done that already. I am a nocturnal person. It is hard for me to sleep before 11 in the evening. So you can imagine how hard it is for me to wake up at 5 in the morning the next day. Most days, I even get my shuteye around 1 in the morning…
It’s just too hard to manage my time!
I know that there will come a time that I will be able to say thank you for the opportunity to rush to work. For now, let me just rant about it
My most favorite person this side of the planet will be celebrating her birthday soon. She’s my aunt, my dad’s sister. She’s been there in almost every significant period in my life, most especially during the tough times. She’s always been a big help to me and a source of joy whenever we get to talk. For her coming birthday, I have three choice gifts for her. I hope she’ll like all of it.
The gifts are just a small thing. But all those times she’s been there for me during the tough ones, those are the ones I cannot repay ever. So I am hoping by showing her how much I appreciate her and love her, it will be close enough a repayment of sorts for everything.
Payday is very near! My friends and I always make sure that we allot a portion of our paychecks for some fun time. We go out and have fun somewhere once a month. We pool our resources together and we plan a special trip to one place we haven’t been at before. This time around, one of my friends suggested Outer Banks beach rentals. Can’t wait for that trip!
Before, I do not go out that much. I used to just work and work. No play for me except attending some choice parties for close friends and relatives. But someone made me realize that I need to love myself a bit more to be able to shower love to people around me. And loving myself means taking some time for myself even from time to time. From then on, I go out with friends at least once a month.
