Bedroom

bedroom

I just love renovating rooms! These two bedrooms are newly renovated and as you can see, the efforts made by the owners in transforming their previously drab bedrooms paid off.

When you live in the city, space is a perennial problem. But if have a wild imagination, you can transform a small space into a beauty. Just like the photos of the bedrooms here!

Mia’s helpers

Mia needs term life insurance quotes as soon as possible. Her house helpers’ life insurance coverages have expired already. Since the life insurance is a part of the benefits that she gives her helpers and assistants, she doesn’t want to renege on that part of their contracts.

I admire people like Mia. Some employers don’t really care about their helpers as long as they give them their basic pay. But with Mia and other employers out there, it is important for them to think of the benefits they can give the people who help them get by on a daily basis.

Next stop: Boracay beach!

boracay-beach-resort

My cousins, my sisters and I are all planning to hit the beaches of Boracay by January next year. My cousin is working abroad and his next vacation is by January, so as early as today, we are already planning our trip to Boracay for some summer fun.

It was my sister’s idea to go there. We were all thinking of Puerto Galera but then we all said yes to my sister when she suggested Bora. It would be loads of fun for sure! Can’t wait!

Belated congratulatory gift

I am checking out men’s clothing for my cousin Alvin. He is a professor in a prestigious university in the city and he also often conducts seminars for teachers. I want to give him something as a belated congratulatory gift for finishing his masters degree and for being chosen by two universities as a fellow. What a feat for someone who’s just starting his teaching career!

I am thinking of something he can wear when conducting his seminars and conferences. Something he can wear for formal occasions where he’s invited. So that’s what I am checking out. Men’s clothing for Alvin.

Love life

I love my life. I would love to be able to live until I see my grandchildren. But the way I live my life now, with plenty of rice in every meal and a shortage of veggies and fruits in my food intake… I don’t think I’ll live a long life. I need to change now. Do something about this kind of life I am living. If drinking weight loss pills is what it will take for me to turn around this bad lifestyle, then so be it!

My sister is already nagging me about losing weight, especially in my tummy area. I look like I am close to delivering a baby when all my stomach has is fats! I really need to do something. Maybe go back to working out so I have something to look forward to every day.

A lovely foyer

Foyer

I found this photo of a lovely foyer in an Italian mansion. There are houses Italian in style at a nearby subdivision. I don’t like all the designs but I do love the feel of the houses. It’s so old, elegant and rich in culture.

I am not an architect or an engineer. I don’t know the different architectural designs or the technicalities of looking at a structure. But I do know how to appreciate a beautiful architecture or simply a house. I do love looking at beautiful houses. I would often ask the cab driver to slow down a bit when passing rows of beautiful houses because I commit the design to mind.

You know, if and when I have enough money already to have a house built for me and the family…

Letting go

After that Baguio trip, I felt like going out and buying the best fat burner in the market. I ate a lot in that trip! And it’s only 3 days! I wonder what my weight became if it’s a one-week vacation…

I tend to really indulge when I’m on vacation. I always feel like letting go and enjoying myself. I feel like I deserve it. But when I get back home, that’s when I start regretting every single morsel of food I ate. I know, I’m bad. Vacation is about enjoying, right?

Anyway, what’s a few pounds more? Ha-ha-ha!

Weekend in the City of Pines

ChocolatedeBatirol

I went to Baguio City with my friends. It was a 3-day out of town fun. I like the places we went to. I particularly like Choco-late de Batirol, a place well-known for its hot choco and delicious bibingka. We went there for snacks on our second day of stay in the City of Pines. I fell in love with the nutty taste of the traditional choco blend that they are offering for a very affordable price. You also have a choice of cinnamon and other choco blends there if you don’t like the nutty taste of the traditional one.

We went to different places more and I will post photos when I finish uploading it.

City dwellers’ food temptations

For you city dwellers like me, you know that in almost every corner of the city, there’s temptation. I am talking about food, drinks and what-not that’s bad for the body, for our colons. If we just indulge all the time, we might regret it in the future. I know what you will say… if you leave alone, it’s a big hassle to cook food for a single consumption. It’s tiring. I know that. But browse the site http://www.colonixreview.net. Know what bad eating habits can do to our colon. Read how scary colon diseases are. Colon cancer in particular.

So the next time you think of frequenting that fast food joint in the same building as where your condo unit is, or the one at the street corner, think about your poor colon. Okay?

Wedding of all weddings

One of the best weddings I’ve attended is still that of my best friend’s. They really went all out for it. The wedding decorations alone, you could tell that they spent a lot. The food at the reception, the wedding favors. Everything!

It actually became the yardstick for all the weddings I have attended after it. And every wedding fell below the standard set by that wedding. If you have the funds to spend, then why not go all out? For some people, they only get married once in their lives.
