A reliable laptop

Chelly asked her boss to get her a high-end laptop. She said that she needs a reliable laptop for her to work on, specially when she’s out on field. She gives presentations to potential clients so a laptop that won’t hang or act up in the middle of a presentation was what she needed. Her boss gave her one complete with a laptop warranty so that whatever happens to it they can have the laptop serviced by the supplier.

Chelly is one of the top sales and marketing officers of the company she belongs to. No wonder she gets whatever reasonable demands she has.

My paternal grandparents

I have lost a grandmother I loved so dearly. I am just glad that I still have a set of grandparents I can turn to. My paternal grandparents who live just a street away from us. I am already listing down christmas gift ideas for grandparents and I will give them two: one on Christmas day and another by New Year’s eve.

Sometimes we forget how big a part our grandparents play in our lives. We forget about them. I am just glad that I need not travel far to see my grandparents whenever I feel like it. Some are not as lucky as I am.

Powerful voice

I swear her voice is so powerful you’d think she swallowed a microphone! She has the voice of a belter and she knows it. Whenever there’s a karaoke session among her friends, she’s the one designated to belt out one song after another. And she chooses the powerful ones to sing!

I have often said that it would have been nice had I been gifted with a good singing voice. But I wasn’t. So I am just happy to see people I care about who knows how to sing really well.

Natural eye make-up on

We were teasing our friend Nancy on the dark circles under her eyes. We were teasing her that she doesn’t need any make-up on the Halloween party we are all attending because she already has a natural make-up on. She was just laughing about it. She told us that she will make sure that the dark circles are gone by summer. She will find the time to catch up on sleep, relax and really take care of her health better.

We said amen to that. We all need to catch up on sleep but since Nancy works at a call center in the graveyard shift, she needs it more than we do.

Too much take-out food

My friends and I often eat out. When you live in a place where there are lots and lots of choices for take-out food, you tend to become lazy in cooking food at home. But you know that too much take-out food means too much oil and fat in your body. I need a colon cleanser as soon as possible!

I heard how the colon is the easily affected organ in the body from too much fat and oil in our food. I don’t want to find myself sick so I might as well do something to prevent my colon from acting up, right?

Window seat

Window seat

I’ve always wanted to have a window seat where I can just sit or lie down to daydream, contemplate life, or read until I fall asleep. Too bad our house doesn’t have the windows that can be transformed into such. Plus, it’s not really conducive to create this kind of corner here.

But soon.

I have these promises to myself that I know sooner or later I will be able to fulfill. And a window seat is one of those promises.

;)

An earful out of concern

I got a lecture about the phentermine diet pill from a neighbor. She was in her 50′s and a good neighbor since I was a kid. I saw her going out of her car and smiled at her. She motioned me to come over so I did. And boy did I get an earful from her!

It was all done out of concern. She’s been seeing me getting bigger each day and she felt the need to remind me that I am not getting any younger. She regretted not losing weight when she was younger and it took her five years to lose 50 pounds to reach her right weight! She told me that I wouldn’t want to find myself exercising like crazy just so I can lose a little weight.

I am reminded and I am thankful. Now I am off to eat the soup she told me about!

Split testing

You know how we always think that what we like are actually what others like, too? Well, in these days, that is not so much the case. According to Jesse Willms, split testing is the way to go if you want your business to succeed.

Jesse Willms is an online marketing expert. He said that for a business to maximize its earning potential, split testing should be utilized. You know, test what really the market wants. Do not rely solely on what your instincts tell you. It is not always the case that what you like the most is what the market also wants. Most of the time, what you thought your market likes is not what they really like.

With a split test, you can create different versions of your sales package. In simple terms, you can create red, blue, black and white of the same sales pitch you have. In a way, the color that sells the most is the ultimate package that will sell your product. That’s why you see some companies having different colors and styles of the same product that they are offering. That’s split testing.

Someone I know is about to open her own clothing line. She is nervous if it will be a success. Of course, if not, it will be a huge setback not only financially but in all aspects of her life. She has been preparing for this in a long while. Thank goodness for Jesse Willms, she now have an idea how she can offer her clothing line to her target market. Split testing is the name of the game!

Candles and relaxation

hurricane-lamps

After a hard day at work, it feels good to come home and know that you can now relax. And how do I do that? I light scented candles, turn on soft music, and just lie down on the couch. Sometimes, instead of soft music, I turn on the tv and just surf channels mindlessly.

I love scented candles because it really relaxes me and creates a cozy ambiance in any room.

A reminder

We need to be critical of the products we buy. An older neighbor talked to me about the apidexin reviews that she read before she tried the diet pills. She made sure that she knew the product before she bought one.

She told me that I should gather information about a product before I decide to buy one and try it. I’ve known the elderly neighbor since I was a kid and she said that she heard me talking about weight loss products. She wants to remind me about the risks of buying a product I haven’t read anything about yet.
