I grew up with a terrace at home. My grandparents’ houses, maternal and paternal side, also have terraces in their respective houses. That’s why I am drawn to houses with such.
But living in the city, space is limited. I think I’ve already mentioned this a thousand times. Space is limited so you make do with what you have. If you see houses here, the space meant for the air conditioner is also being used as a mini terrace. Or the space meant for the car slot is being used as such when the car is not parked there.
I would have loved to have a terrace like the photo above. I wouldn’t mind shelling money for one like that.

Ben is always reading up about acne. It’s been years and he hasn’t gotten rid of it yet. In his defense, he is busy with studies and starting his career that’s why he didn’t focus too much on eliminating it. But now what he has some time to focus on this hassle in his looks, he wants to finally take every necessary step to eliminate it.
He’s been reading accutane side effects because friends told him about the product. He wants to try the most effective one in the market now so he’s reading and analyzing. The hassle will finally be eliminated from his face and he is sure that people will remark on his ‘brand new’ face as soon as they see an improvement!

My grandpa smokes a cigar. You can actually tell if he’s inside the room with his smell. He smells like his cigar already and it’s a combination of sweet and earthy smell that is quite endearing for some reason. It’s like being envelope in a cloud of sweet smoke that takes you back in time!
I’ve known him to smoke a cigar since I was a little kid. When I was younger, I used to think of him as those gang lords in the movies. Marlon Brando and his cigar. I still think of him that way. I think I will forever cherish the times I spend around him smelling that combination of sweet and earthy smell of him and his cigar.

Spain, Egypt, Cyprus, Italy are just some of the countries I would love to explore. I love exploring side streets like the photo above and finding novelty shops or quaint little cafes and restaurants that offer whatever is in their menu that day. I like places like that.
I remember watching an episode of Samantha Brown’s Passport to Europe where she went to Egypt and I really fell in love with the place! The side streets, the quaint little shops, the cafes and low-key diners… there were so many things in that episode that made me want to go to that place right away!
Too bad this big city girl doesn’t have the financial means to just travel at the drop of a hat. But soon. I will.
Soon.

I guess most professionals feel that at some point in their careers, they need to add a degree or skill to their qualifications to go three rungs up the corporate ladder. I feel that way now. I am checking out an online university where I can take up my masters. I want to add that to my qualifications and possibly use that as a tool to get the position I have my eye on.
An online university is the best choice for me since I can’t really afford to go to an actual university where time is of the essence. I will juggle work and university so going online to take up my masters is the best path I can take.

My former roommate Melissa came to visit me. She was in the area because she picked up the hot tub spa covers that her mom needed. We got to talk about life and how we are both doing at work. She works for her mom’s spa business. She is the general manager and her mom’s personal assistant. They have ten branches around the metro and she is very busy doing her work and running errands for her mom.
I, on the other hand, am working as an auditor for a multinational company. I am also very busy and has Sundays for myself. We are both obviously stressed out and somehow, what would have been a very light catching up turned out to be a time for us to air our ‘grievances’ at work.
The GM and PA turned out to be just wishing for a simple job. While I am wishing for a grand vacation all by myself!

One of the things I want my living room to have is the ambiance associated to country homes. An inviting feel. Cozy and warm. That’s why I am not much into furniture that look so stiff and cold.
The photo (above) of the living room is very modern and a bit stiff looking. But it still is very inviting, don’t you think? I think the colors have something to do with it.
What do you think?

When Marci wants to learn something, she will go all out. There was a time when she wanted to learn muay thai. Do you know what she did? She went to Thailand to learn it from the real experts! Now she’s into horseback riding. She has everything related to riding including horse tack and will be going for a month outside the city in a farm belonging to one of her friends. She will allot that month doing nothing but learn horseback riding. Everything related to riding.
Have I told you that she is a writer for a specialty magazine and to be able write truthfully about a specific topic, she immerses herself in it. And Marci is one of the best in her field.

Mrs. Samson, one of the elderly in the building I am living at, needs to claim her social security disability insurance. It would have been okay except that she doesn’t have someone to help her do it. She has a problem with her hips and it is hard for her to go back and forth to a place far from her residence.
Good thing a neighbor told her about Allsup and how it helps individuals like her claim their SSDI proceeds. Mrs. Samson needs the money because she is undergoing therapy for her hip problems. I do hope she be able to claim the benefits that is hers.

I believe almost every household has a kind of home-office set up already. We are all used to bringing home work we want to finish. Or some of us are working at home so we need something similar to an office set up in it.
The photo above is not my home-office set up but that’s a desk that I love to have with those two gorgeous desktops! Don’t you just get a very good vibe looking at it? It’s so clean and tidy! I like!
