Cozy hotel rooms

hotelroom

I have a thing for cozy hotel rooms. I love it! I can stay in it for days, if only I have the funds to do so. Even my sisters love staying in hotel rooms that are almost the same as home. Except that it has the amenities that we don’t have like a full blast of hot water in the shower, a bathtub, use of the aircon and TV even for 24 hours straight, and the cleaning service.

I’ve been checking out different local hotels like Sofitel, Linden Suites, and the like. If I find a room that I can afford for the weekend, I will stay there!

Looking for the best

Chellie is looking for the best netbooks. She and her husband both travel a lot and they are sharing one 14″ notebook that is already Jurassic. They want to travel light and one of the things they can see on how they can do it is to get netbooks for each one of them.

I know how heavy it is to be lugging a notebook around. I remember going on a trip with my siblings with my old notebook with me and all the stuff I had to carry with it. A netbook is really best when traveling.

Engaged!

Pam is engaged to her long-time boyfriend. He gave her a Semi mount diamond ring while on a vacation in an island somewhere and proposed to her while they were sipping champagne. Of course, Pam being so in love with her boyfriend even after all these years of being together, said yes right away!

Now I have to seriously start losing weight. I will be one of the bridesmaids and the wedding will be a few months from now. I don’t want to look like an elephant next to Pam’s sisters who are both models!

Old roommates

I want to send photo holiday cards to my two old roommates back in university. I haven’t seen them for a couple of years now. I saw them recently via Facebook and we got to catch up. I realized that I should have been in touch with them even after uni but since I became busy with work and life, I forgot to keep in touch.

So now I will be sending them cards and some other stuff this coming holidays. I want them to know that I am still the same friend they had back in college.

Short on funds

Uncle Ed wants to get an rv for his family. They love traveling out of town. They often do this every weekend. So Uncle Ed, thinking they will be able to save more if they have their own rv while on the road, is counting his savings and breaking his piggy bank to buy one. Unfortunately, he knows it wouldn’t be enough to be able to purchase a unit so he is ready to resort to rv financing if it comes to that.

They are planning to go out of town again this coming weekend. They are all excited to be riding their own rv soon. I think I’ll invite myself in one of their road trips if they already have their rv with them.

Tam-awan Village

Tam-awan Village is a place where local artists flock. You can watch artists sketch portraits there. You can have your portrait sketched for a fee. Find beautiful nipa huts and local sculptures there as well.

If you are traveling to the north and you find yourself in Baguio City, make sure you drop by Tam-awan and pay homage to our local artists.
