Tea Time

RubyTuesday

Feel like having tea? Come join me! ;)

I love tea with milk. Since I can’t have too much coffee in my system, I alternate it with tea.

Do you drink tea? How do you take it?

Happy Tuesday!

We all need to kick back and relax and have some “Me Time” every now and then. Just to unwind and get rid of the stress we carry around with us.

When was the last time you treated yourself to a glass of martini or some relaxing spa session?

Office romance

Office Romance

Speaking of office dating or office romance…

Let me tell you my experience with it. No, I didn’t date a co-worker. I had two bosses who dated each other and it was the food that fed the gossip mill in the office.

The CEO of the company I worked for got separated from his wife. While managing his very own business, he met a newly hired sales assistant. She was pretty and charming and she was also separated from her spouse. They clicked and before you know it, the sales assistant was promoted to the second highest position in the company! She became the president and from then on ‘worked’ hand in hand with the CEO.

Of course, tongues started wagging right after the promotion. Who wouldn’t suspect something fishy when a mere sales assistant suddenly becomes the president of the company without buying into the business, right? Rumors began spreading like wildfire that the CEO and the president were having an affair. And you know what? The rumors were true! They became open about the romance after a while when the president made a huge mistake of passing the phone to the CEO when she just told an IT guy that she was already in bed, asleep, when he called.

In a way it worked for the two of them. But then when the CEO’s kids would visit the office, there was always tension around and that was the conflict created by the romance. Other than that, it was just business as usual for them. Unless it was raining and you would hear the CEO asking the president for some sexy time!

Eeekkk!!!

A decision made last night.

When I think about the decision I came up with last night, I laugh at myself. It’s silly yet I know it’s what I have always wanted to do. Do you know what it is? It’s about dating that I came up with when I saw a free dating online site.

Let me tell you something and I hope you don’t laugh at me… I haven’t dated in a while. And by a while I mean half a decade already! There was a guy who wanted to go out with me three years ago but he was creepy so I didn’t take my chances with him. Yes, he was good looking and I know he was delicious in and out of the bedroom but there were conversations with him that made my creep barometer rise so I discarded the notion of going out with the guy.

But last night, I thought, what the hell! I will turn 35 pretty soon and I need to get some action in my life. I need to date and have fun and meet guys and get laid! Hahaha!

That’s the decision I made last night. No more being choosy. Grab the nearest guy and start dating again!

Living in the city

city lifeI love city life. I love the hustle and bustle that it brings. I love the noise and the hum of the city. I think I am not the only one who feels this way.

I have grown up in the city so I think that’s mainly the reason why I feel such attachment to city life. Days in the countryside would leave me restless and yearning for the chaos that is the city. I’ve tried it so many times and each and every time I stay at the countryside, I feel the same way.

I know there are times when I also yearn for some peace and quiet. I think it’s but natural for any human being to feel that way. But peace and quiet for a day or two is enough. More than that then I’d feel as if I am transported into another planet.

Do you feel the same way towards living in the city? Or are you a country person?

A weekend retreat

weekend retreat cabinYou know as a human being I do think we are all entitled to some kind of retreat from the daily stuff we do. Since I have been living in the city for so long a weekend retreat somewhere remotely resembling city life is what I search for.

I saw a cabin that a friend of mine posted in Facebook. It’s a mountain retreat and when I saw it my being craved for a day or two in a place like that! I just know that it will recharge me, relax and calm my overstrung nerves!

I remember reading that the number one cause of various sicknesses and diseases these days is stress. If you live in the city, just making sure you get to pay all your bills on time with the meager income you get every month can stress you out in no time at all! Can you imagine how stressed I am all the time?!? A weekend retreat is truly something that can help me a lot physically, emotionally and spiritually.

I just wish I have the time and money to spend for one…

Hoping to make a change

I am considering changing something in this blog. Possibly the template I am using. I want one that will truly represent living a life in the city. I am currently looking for themes that will represent that.

Another consideration is adding on some topics. I don’t know. Maybe entertainment in the city? City life is so much fun and there are so many things that can be done when you are in the city. Maybe I should include that here on a regular basis. For example I can write about fun city activities every Friday. What do you think of that?

Anyway, whatever the decision I will come up with, just expect changes to take place in the next few days ;)

Technology at its best

I know that technology has given us so much in life. It has made things easier. I appreciate all of that! I mean can you imagine how life is now without cellphones, computers and the internet? Terrible!

And much the same can be said with SN100C and laser technology. What would life be for workers without it? I would like to think that it will be harder for them. Fine Line Stencil knows it that is why they have been on top of their game for the past 15 years and counting.

Ah technology! The generation of today is lucky to be born with such possibilities brought by it!

Becoming costly

I don’t know if you’ve been noticing it but city life is becoming costlier than it already is!

If you are single like me, 100 pesos is not enough to last you until noon. How much more if you are feeding more than your own mouth? Can you imagine what it is like with families that have more than two kids? I can imagine the financial burden the breadwinners of those families are experiencing.

To be able to live a normal life and eat three meals a day, a person needs to have at least 200 pesos for food and transportation. A family needs to have at least 300 pesos to last the whole day. If you have more than two kids, factor that in and you will need more than that. If you are earning minimum wage only, you will surely be neck-deep in debt before you get your paycheck!

There are days when I feel the need to pack my bags and try my luck in the province. Or anywhere with a lower cost of living. But it would be too risky to do that.

How are you faring in this city we all live in?
