The movers are here.

The Boston Movers to be exact. They will be helping my partner and me move our stuff to a new office. You see, I entered into a partnership with a long time co-worker of mine. We decided to put up an internet cafe near two universities. But the old shop cum office was in another street. It was not our original plan to put the shop there but we had to wait until the new office is renovated. We were busy promoting the internet cafe while waiting for the renovations to finish. We received good feedbacks and my partner and I are both excited to formally open the internet cafe. It’s a 50-50 profit sharing. We had an agreement drawn up. All the legalities were taken cared of already.

So finally, the renovations are over. The internet shop is waiting for the office equipment and other stuff to be moved there. And we asked the Boston Movers to help us out. A different path

I was surprised to find out that my friend, Dino, has become a furniture salesman. The last time I saw him, he told me that he would be pursuing a different path. I didn’t know that he will make a drastic change in careers. He was a seaman.

When we saw each other again, he was offering me a tv lift cabinet from the collection he is selling. What he does now is, he puts together a collection of furniture that will fit a room in the house and when you are interested, he can put it together for you. Sort of like redecorating a whole room in the house.

Sounds interesting, no? I am just surprised because I’ve never seen this domesticated creative side of him.

In front of the tv

I really want that leather home theater seating for me. I love watching movies. I love watching cable tv. And I believe I have found the best seats for me!

You all know that there are days when I feel like just sitting in front of the tv and doing nothing but be a couch potato for hours on end. And if I have to do this thing occasionally, might as well do it in a comfortable seat, don’t you think? I wish someone will give me that as a gift!

Pet puppies

My two female cousins are going gaga over their pet puppies. Both have pomeranian puppies and of course, I already know what to give them this coming Christmas… pet beds! I am sure they will be more than happy to get this gift from me. Every little thing that they can buy for their pets, they do. They both treat the cute little puppies like their own babies. Oh well, I guess it is better that they are busy with their pet dogs than with any other bad things, right?

Cooking with me

Cooking with me is a challenge. I normally don’t cook with my recipe book with me. I am bad with measurements and if I don’t follow the recipe book, chances are I will mess up the recipe. Too bad for me. I hope I will learn how to do it “free style” like what friends do. And I really hope that in time I will learn how to really cook properly.

Shasta pools

My friend is having their house renovated. She wants more outdoor activities for their family, especially her kids. She has two boys and she wants them to become active in swimming. So she wants to have a pool in their backyard. She found everything she needs at Shasta Pools and more. A solace

I have said in this blog again and again that sleep is a luxury for me now. Ever since I joined my friend’s business, sleep has eluded me. I have so many things running in my dad daily, especially at night. It is therefore imperative that I have the most comfortable and peaceful bedroom there is. I do not have too many distractions in the bedroom. No tv, radio or other things that will distract me from my goal of getting enough sleep. I have books but I make it a point that it is not near my bed. Otherwise, I will surely end up reading the whole night instead of sleeping. Oversized Down Comforter is a must. I love having something that will comfort me. My mattress is just the right softness. Not too soft, not too firm. I have as many pillows as I need. My pillows are also not too soft and not too firm. I made it a point to buy pillows that will induce sleep. My bedroom is my solace.

Grand plans for the garage

Dad is asking my brother to help him renovate our garage. I heard them this morning arguing where to put things. My dad has a lot of tools for everything he does. Garage tools, air tools, carpentry tools, and so many others. I heard my dad said that they will be putting Garage Work Benches there as well. Plus a tool shed. I do not really know how they will accomplish it since my brother is quite busy with his studies and my dad is busy with the family business. But they have great plans for the garage. We have quite a large one at home. Three cars can fit it. We have just one car now, having sold the two a few years back. So they will use the other space for other things. A tool shed for my dad and a one-man basketball half court for my brother. That’s his motivation for helping my dad. But with the way they are arguing where what things will go to, well, I believe renovating the garage will take them a couple of months to finish. I could still hear them arguing about the size of the garage and where the shed will really go. My brother can be stubborn at times. And he got it from my dad.

New something for the home

I got a call from another relative yesterday morning. Apparently, they will be having a party for some expats by the weekend. They are frantic because they wanted to put some Wood Pub Tables at home to make use for the party. I believe the guys will be having some kind of a poker night and the tables are essential for the event. I was laughing so hard at first because I thought it was a prank.
