I was checking out places on my list that I want to visit before I hit the big 4-0 in a couple of years. One of those places is Orlando, Florida. I want to go to Disney World!
I am following this WordPress designer in Twitter and he’s been to Disney World with his wife and young son a number of times. They also went on the Disney cruise and I was jealous! I want to go, too! Hopefully, soon.
Have you been to Disney World?

One of the places I really want to go and explore is New Zealand. I just love the idea of a place that is still not too commercialized and there are patches still untouched by modern technology. I know I can’t live without the internet so I asked a friend of mine who lives there with her family if internet is good. Not too shabby, she said. That will do for me.
I may be a city girl body and soul but there are times when this big city girl craves for the tranquility and stillness of the countryside. I believe I can have both my city fix as well as that of the countryside with New Zealand.
I hope the whole family can get a visa to go there this year.

What historical event would you attend if you were able to time travel?
I think I would want to be there when the first People Power EDSA Revolution took place. I am already a kid back then but was at home during the time, of course. It would have been cool to see the very first one in person. That peaceful revolution brought down a dictatorship that lasted for 20 years. The Marcoses slipped out of the country and the government was brought back to the power of the masses. Corazon Aquino, widow of the assassinated Benigno Aquino, Jr., was elected by the people to lead the country for the next 6 years.
It would be such an experience for me to be in the middle of that bloodless revolution that put the Philippines in the radar of the world.

Tam-awan Village is a place where local artists flock. You can watch artists sketch portraits there. You can have your portrait sketched for a fee. Find beautiful nipa huts and local sculptures there as well.
If you are traveling to the north and you find yourself in Baguio City, make sure you drop by Tam-awan and pay homage to our local artists.

Spain, Egypt, Cyprus, Italy are just some of the countries I would love to explore. I love exploring side streets like the photo above and finding novelty shops or quaint little cafes and restaurants that offer whatever is in their menu that day. I like places like that.
I remember watching an episode of Samantha Brown’s Passport to Europe where she went to Egypt and I really fell in love with the place! The side streets, the quaint little shops, the cafes and low-key diners… there were so many things in that episode that made me want to go to that place right away!
Too bad this big city girl doesn’t have the financial means to just travel at the drop of a hat. But soon. I will.
Soon.

For the past couple of months now, I can’t get rid of this idea of going to the beach. You know, hammock, white sand, crystal blue waters. Bliss.
I wish I can do it this weekend. But a beach such as the photo above is just too far away from me!
Oh well…

Going on a trip is special to me. I have been a traveler at heart but because of limited resources, I can only travel so much.
Whenever I am presented with an opportunity to travel, I grab that chance. I know that another chance like that won’t present itself to me again. And you know what? I don’t dream big of going to exotic places or going on lavish tours. I just love going to places I know I can also bring my family to. Places where there are good tourist spots to go to while still having the amenities of a big city.
I told myself that as soon as my brother finishes college, I will plan a really good trip for the whole family. And then another one for me alone. I am not getting any younger. I also want to be able to experience traveling alone.

Palawan is one of the places in the country that I’ve always wanted to visit. It is a glorious place surrounded by clear water. You have a choice of so many resorts in the province, ranging from the affordable to the ridiculously expensive (like the El Nido Resort).
In Palawan, one can also visit the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park famed for being one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
One of these days I will find the time and resources to visit Palawan. Soon.

My cousins, my sisters and I are all planning to hit the beaches of Boracay by January next year. My cousin is working abroad and his next vacation is by January, so as early as today, we are already planning our trip to Boracay for some summer fun.
It was my sister’s idea to go there. We were all thinking of Puerto Galera but then we all said yes to my sister when she suggested Bora. It would be loads of fun for sure! Can’t wait!

I went to Baguio City with my friends. It was a 3-day out of town fun. I like the places we went to. I particularly like Choco-late de Batirol, a place well-known for its hot choco and delicious bibingka. We went there for snacks on our second day of stay in the City of Pines. I fell in love with the nutty taste of the traditional choco blend that they are offering for a very affordable price. You also have a choice of cinnamon and other choco blends there if you don’t like the nutty taste of the traditional one.
We went to different places more and I will post photos when I finish uploading it.
