Here are some facts about this amazing woman named Tae Yun Kim…
- Tae Yun Kim was actually born Kyong Ae Kim in February 2, 1946 and as you know, she is the eldest daughter in her family.
- She married in the late 1960’s and took her husband’s name, and became Kyong Ae Fontaine.
- They immigrated to the United States on August 24th, 1970. Kim entered the US initially in Seattle, WA. She then moved to White River Junction, Vermont.
- She became a defendant in a federal “Sham Marriage” Trial - Burlington Free Press on March 24, 1982.
- Unfortunately for her, the marriage with Mark Fontaine didn’t last. Kim divorced her first husband of approximately 20 years in the late 1980’s.
- Kim then changed her name to Tae Yun, and her school’s name to Jung SuWon, in approximately 1990.
- She converted to Mormon in the early 90’s.
- Kim married a wealthy Utah business man’s son. But the marriage didn’t last as well. It was subsequently annulled in a court action.
