The party planner
I am currently racking my brain for party ideas. Two of my cousins will be celebrating their wedding anniversaries this coming September. Both cousins, with just a week in between. Since both of them claims that I am their favorite cousin, and I am known among family and friends as the party planner, they are leaving me with the responsibility of organizing an anniversary party for both of them!
I don’t know when this started, my propensity for organizing parties. All I can remember is being thrilled to be asked to help prepare family parties. I love suggesting ideas to make a party lively and fun till the end. When I turned seventeen, I just found myself organizing kiddie parties of my little cousins. That started this trend of assigning me that role.
One of the cousins I mentioned will be celebrating 10th wedding anniversary. It will be huge because my cousin-in-law, the husband, wants a really big party. The couple are still in love with each other and they want the whole world to know about it. I envy them, truth to tell. The other cousin will be celebrating their 3rd wedding anniversary. In contrast with the other party, this one will be a simple brunch for family and friends.
It will be a big role to undertake but I love the challenge. Plus, there is Celebrations.com where I can get great ideas for the two parties.
